Hi, I’m Dave. I make food photography backgrounds and surfaces by hand, from my workshop in the UK.

Every board starts from scratch — cut, textured, painted, and finished by me. No shortcuts, no mass production. Just surfaces built the way I’d want them if I were the one shooting on them.

Whether you need a warm, weathered pine board for a rustic bakery shoot or a concrete surface that makes espresso look like it belongs in a magazine, I’ll make it for you — in the size you need, in the finish that fits your work.
