For cleaning and care of my backgrounds, I recommend using a damp cloth to wipe down the boards, then wipe with a dry cloth.  Stubborn food residues can be removed with soapy water and a cloth or sponge, by carefully wiping the surface.  Do not use any type of chemicals or abrasives, as this may damage the protective finish.  For our textured backgrounds, a soft brush is recommended to remove any food stuck in the background before wiping with a damp cloth.

Take care when moving and positioning items on the backgrounds as not to drag them across the surface as this can damage the sealer.  

I recommend cleaning up any food spills as soon as possible.  Food residue and spills that have a high pigment colour which are left too long on the background may stain the protective finish of the background.

It’s not recommend to place any extremely hot items or food directly onto the backgrounds as this can damage the protective sealer.

 

Concrete, paint effect, and planked boards can be stored upright, on their side, or flat — whichever works best for your space.
Solid wooden boards — the Antique Pine, Cindy’s Table, and Worn White — are more sensitive to humidity and heat. Store these flat in a cool, dry environment to prevent warping.

All backgrounds are sent via UPS on a next-day service once they’re ready to ship. Shipping is a flat rate of £20 per board, which includes full insurance and a signature on delivery — that protects both of us and makes sure your board arrives safely.
Every background is packed extremely well for transit. I use recyclable and reclaimed packaging wherever possible, so please don’t be alarmed if the outer box looks a little lived-in — it’s very deliberate, and what’s inside will be pristine.

I don’t usually offer refunds, but if your background arrives damaged I will replace it — no arguments. I just need clear photos of both the damaged packaging and the board itself so I can raise a claim with UPS. Please get in touch within 48 hours of delivery if this happens.
Please make sure your delivery address is correct at checkout. If a parcel is returned due to an incorrect address, the cost of reshipping will need to be covered by the buyer.

Every background is made to order, so please allow 14–28 days from your order date before shipping. I’ll always let you know if there’s going to be any delay. If you need something by a specific date, drop me a message before ordering and I’ll do my best to accommodate you.
